Rise To Read is a growing organization of dedicated volunteers making a difference in their community by giving the children of Bridgeport Connecticut the tools to successfully accomplish their dreams, beginning with reading literacy. The volunteers include Connecticut certified teachers, community leaders, parents, guardians, and young adults working together to improve the future of the children of Bridgeport. A small, dedicated leadership team provides support, guidance and oversight of the Rise To Read literacy program. Rise To Read has over 20 literacy centers through which the program operates thanks to supportive, participating local churches*.
